Bavis Holiday Tourney

 

December 26th - December 29th

Monday - Thursday: Games at 8:20AM, 9:20AM, 10:20AM and 11:20AM

 
Wednesday: Skills Competition at 12:20PM

 
Thursday:  Morning games plus 
12:20pm- 1st vs 4th
1:20pm - 2nd vs 3rd
2:20pm - Championship Game

TOURNAMENT & GAME RULES

• 3 Minute Warm-Up

• 2-20 minute run time halves

• No ties / sudden death in effect

• No icing

• NO PENALTIES IN MINUTES/ BREAK AND CHASE STYLE ( shooter who penalty was drawn on will have a free breakaway from nearest blue line and all other players will line up on far blue on one knee. Once whistle is blown the shooter will take off to net to score a goal and all other players will chase. If shooter scores play is dead, if not game is Live!)

• 3 penalty rule in effect (3 in a game out the gate you go!)

• Matching penalties/Players go off ice to bench

• NO PULLING GOALIES, NO FIGHTING, NO CHECKING, NO UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT/ ALL SERIOUS INFRACTIONS WILL LEAD TO EJECTION FROM GAME AND POSSIBLE REST OF TOURNAMENT

SKILLS COMPETITION

• Skills Competition on Wednesday (12:20-1:20PM) will consist of 4 skaters for relay race.

• One Shooter for shootout (shooter may not be in relay race).

• One goalie for shootout.

• Fill in names of 4 shooters and one goalie

• Relay-Race Team

RELAY-RACE RULES

• Relay-Race will consist of 4 teams per race.The top 2 teams from each race will then compete again to determine the winners.

• The Red Line is the official start/finish line.

• Skaters 1 will start the race for their team and skate a full lap around the designated course.  Then they will pass their stick to the next skater in between the blue lines. Skaters 2 and 3 will repeat this process and skater 4 will finish race back to the Red Line. Part of body must cross plane of Finish line (Not Stick)

• NO ONE SKATER can deliberately push another out/off the course or that team will be disqualified

• ALL SKATERS must stay in marked designated course if not team will be disqualified

SHOOTOUT RULES

• All teams will choose a shooter. Shooter will take 2 shots per goalie (16 attempts total).

• 2 pucks will be placed on blue line. SHOOTER 1 will make his first attempt and cycle back to blue line retrieve puck for the second attempt.  SHOOTER 2-8 will repeat same process.

• Shooters must maintain forward progress at all times and rebounds/ 2nd efforts will not be counted.

• Most goals wins.

• All teams will choose their GOALIES. All goalies will face 8 shooters 2 times consecutively. GOALIES will have to reset and be ready for 2nd attempt.

• Any goalie/ shooter that loses a piece of equipment or is hurt will be given the time to regroup and continue the competition
